“But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.

 –Luke 2:19, NIV

This Christmas we invite you to set aside the first Saturday in December to come and celebrate the greatest treasure in our lives—Jesus! Our theme is Treasures of JOY, and just like Mary, we want to stop and ponder who Jesus is and treasure Him in our hearts. We will hear from special guest speaker, —— as she shares with us the treasures of joy she has found in Jesus!

Take a moment to enjoy the beauty of the Christmas season with a steaming cup of coffee, a pastry, and rich fellowship. Meet new ladies and catch up with old friends at this year’s Christmas Coffee at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa.

Our Christmas Boutique will be open before and after the morning program to give you time to wander through the pop-up shops from local artisans and talented individuals whose passion and creativity can be seen in all their goods, trinkets, baubles, and beyond. The full boutique will be open Saturday only this year. On Sunday, we will have a small pop-up of vendors set up in the Courtyard to give you an extra opportunity to shop!

Tickets available online or in the church office for $15 each—tickets will be $20 at the door (if available). Your ticket will include entrance to the morning program, a gift from us to you, and a delicious morning treat, with your choice of coffee, hot cocoa, or tea.

Mary’s Voice: Advent Reflections to Contemplate the Coming of Christ

Amy has written a beautiful book of Advent reflections to guide you through the Advent season looking at the story of Christmas through the eyes of Mary, the mother of Jesus.

At Christmastime, we remember that an ordinary, young, poor woman was chosen to play a significant and breakthrough role in the redemption of the world. It is no mistake that a woman gets to be a part of all this and that her voice, her questions, her fears, and her actions matter.

Mary’s faith and her wisdom form an astonishing aspect of the story of how God became a person for the love of this world. And in our weary world that is waiting and longing for light, meaning, peace, and love, we can do as Mary did when she “treasured up all these things and pondered
